College Football 27 on PC is the first version of the franchise to launch day-and-date with consoles, and the modding community is already building tools that improve the game. Here are the best CFB27 mods available right now.
Pocket Scout Dynasty Utility
This is the most powerful Dynasty mod available. It lets you:
- Customize coach progression speed
- Edit NIL budgets and recruiting hours
- Adjust school prestige and facilities
- Modify bowl games and conference details
- Remove historical stats for fresh starts
It's essentially a sandbox toolkit for players who want to play Dynasty exactly how they want.
XP Slider / Progression Fixes
Before the official patch, mods were the only way to fix CFB27's slow player progression. Community tools let you set Player XP to 300 and disable the transfer portal, which prevents the disappearing recruit bug. The July 16 patch addresses some of these issues, but mods still offer more granular control.
Reshade Presets
Graphical mods using Reshade improve CFB27's somewhat soft default rendering. These are easy to install and significantly sharpen the image without hurting performance.
UI Enhancements
Community-built UI improvements make the Dynasty recruiting board easier to read, especially for managing NIL offers and tracking recruit interest.
What's Coming Next
The CFB27 modding community is just getting started. Expected releases include:
- Custom uniforms and stadiums
- Expanded rosters including FCS, Division II, and Division III teams
- New broadcast scorebugs
- AI-enhanced player portraits
- Complete presentation overhauls
Safety Note
Always back up your save files before installing mods. Outdated mods can cause crashes. If a mod breaks after a patch, uncheck it in the Mod Manager until it's updated.
