The July 16 Title Update was supposed to be the fix Dynasty commissioners had been waiting for. EA removed microtransactions, restored Coach XP speed settings, and patched several recruiting bugs. But a week later, the community is reporting that critical Dynasty bugs persist — and some are new.
Confirmed Persistent Bugs
- Recruiting UI freeze: When advancing past week 8 of the recruiting cycle, the prospect board occasionally stops updating. CPU teams continue recruiting, but the player's board shows stale data.
- Player progression stall: In multi-season saves (3+ years), some players stop developing entirely. Their ratings freeze at the previous season's values despite earning XP.
- Scholarship bonus not applying: The annual scholarship bonus announced in the patch notes is not consistently triggering for all recruits.
- Commissioner desync: Online Dynasty commissioners report that CPU roster changes made during the offseason are not visible to all league members.
What EA Has Said
EA's Campus Huddle on July 14 acknowledged "known issues with late-cycle recruiting and offseason progression" and promised fixes in the next Title Update. The second update is expected between July 21-25, 2026. No specific bug list has been published yet.
Workarounds
- Do not sim through recruiting periods. Manually advance each week to ensure the board updates correctly.
- Save before the offseason. If progression stalls, reload the pre-offseason save and re-sim.
- PC players: The Fangs Recruit Overall mod and Chunky AI Recruitment Fix (both updated July 14) address the recruiting UI freeze. Install via the CFB 27 mod manager on Steam.
- Commissioner leagues: Have the commissioner export and re-import the roster after the offseason to force a desync resolution.
Community Modding Response
A 5-year Dynasty simulation test by community modders confirmed no rating inflation or deflation over time — the progression stall appears to be a save-state bug rather than a design flaw. The same test validated that the Fangs Recruit Overall mod resolves the recruiting board freeze on PC.
What to Expect Next
The second Title Update (expected July 21-25) should address these issues. EA has not confirmed whether the fix will require starting a new Dynasty save or if existing saves will be patched in place. Commissioners should back up their saves before the update drops.
