EA Play 10-Hour Trial Is Live
EA Play members can now access College Football 27 through a 10-hour Standard Edition trial that began July 2, 2026. The trial provides full game access across all modes — Dynasty, Road to Glory, College Football Ultimate Team, and online head-to-head — with the clock only counting down while the game is running. Menus and loading screens also count against the timer, so plan your sessions around actual gameplay.
This is the standard EA Play subscription tier, available for $5.99 per month on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Standard EA Play is separate from MVP+ Membership, which provides a 7-day full-game early access window also starting July 2. Do not confuse the 10-hour time-limited trial with the unlimited MVP+ early access window — they are separate entitlements that happen to share the same start date.
EA Play Rewards: Welcome Pack and Monthly Ultimate Team Packs
Beyond the trial itself, EA Play members receive several rewards for College Football 27. Xbox Wire confirmed on July 2, 2026 that EA Play members receive a Welcome Pack that includes bonus content for getting started. EA Play members also receive monthly College Football Ultimate Team Packs available through July 31, 2026 as part of the EA Play July rewards. These packs provide player cards, coins, and collectibles that stack alongside content earned through normal gameplay during the trial window.
All rewards earned during the EA Play trial carry over to the full game when you purchase any edition. Your Ultimate Team roster, coins, pack contents, and Dynasty or Road to Glory progress all transfer seamlessly without any manual step.
EA Play Discount: 10% Off All Editions
EA Play membership provides a 10% discount on all CFB 27 editions at checkout on PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, EA App, and Steam. If you try the standard trial and decide to buy, the discount applies automatically. For players who plan to purchase the Deluxe Edition at $99.99, the EA Play discount brings the effective price to approximately $89.99, partially offsetting the membership cost.
How to Use Your 10 Hours Effectively
The 10-hour timer is a hard limit with no extension for standard EA Play members. The most effective approach is to prioritize gameplay above all else. Open your Welcome Pack and collect rewards before launching into games, but keep menu time short. A recommended session structure: spend 15 minutes on Welcome Pack collection and squad setup, then dedicate the remaining time to actual Dynasty, Road to Glory, or Ultimate Team gameplay. A Dynasty season can be substantially started within a focused 6 to 8 hour block. If you are evaluating the purchase, Road to Glory through the high school phase is completable in 3 to 4 hours.
EA Play Pro Edition: July 6 Access
EA Play Pro is a separate, PC-focused membership tier from standard EA Play. EA Play Pro Edition members receive access beginning July 6, 2026 — the same window as Deluxe Edition and MVP Bundle holders. The EA Play Pro Edition includes 3-Day Advanced Access, 500 CUT Points per month for 12 months, an 83 OVR BND Countdown Player choice, Early Access Solo Challenges, the Cover Athlete Player Item, Dynasty Coach Points, and Road to Glory Skill Points, according to EA's official EA Play page. Consult the official EA Play Pro terms at ea.com for full entitlement and pricing details. EA Play Pro is available on PC through the EA App.
