Ultimate Team 27 Launch Systems — Skill Points, EVOS and Item Objectives

College Football Ultimate Team is changing in College Football 27 with several systems designed to make roster building more flexible over time.

EA's Ultimate Team deep dive centers on a new upgrade system built around Skill Points, archetype-driven upgrade paths and item-specific progression. Skill Points can be earned through gameplay, objectives on items, exchanges and other currencies.

Objectives on Items are another major addition. Select items can earn progression directly through gameplay. EVOS are the most important long-term system — EA describes EVOS as a way to transform and enhance player items by increasing OVR caps, unlocking upgrade paths, and improving abilities.

Archetype-Driven Upgrade Paths

EA's upgrade system organizes player items by archetype, and each archetype has its own attribute upgrade path. A power running back can focus on trucking and break tackle, while a receiving back can prioritize route running and catching. This means two cards of the same overall rating can play differently depending on how they are upgraded. The archetype paths are not just stat boosts — they unlock chemistry slots and abilities that change how the card functions in your lineup.

Launch Bonuses and Twitch Rewards

EA has confirmed Twitch Drops and launch-week login bonuses as part of the Season 1 rollout. Players who link their EA and Twitch accounts can earn additional player packs and coins by watching designated CFB 27 streams during the launch window. Daily login rewards also provide a steady stream of coins and packs for the first two weeks. These bonuses stack with Field Pass progression, giving active players a significant head start on their first competitive squad.
