CFB 27 Coach XP Speed: Career, Simulation, Casual Explained

Which Setting Should You Pick

After the July 16 update, Dynasty offers three Coach XP Speed settings instead of sliders. Career at 1.0x XP is the new default and the intended Dynasty Blueprint experience, where every Coach Point and coaching decision carries more weight across a 20 to 30 year career. Simulation at 1.25x XP is a balanced pace for players who want progression a bit faster. Casual at 1.5x XP is equivalent to the old Faster setting and unlocks abilities quickly.

How Coach Progression Works Now

Coach Level is not a legacy score of wins and losses. Coach Points come from your active archetype perk, staff hires, wins, goals, on-field performance, and annual contract payouts. Moving into higher-tier archetypes (Elite, Hybrid, Program Builder, CEO) accelerates growth. The maximum Coach Level remains 100, and you cannot unlock every perk even there.

Why 'Fastest' Is Gone

EA says the former Fastest option is not returning because faster progression let too many coaches reach top abilities early and reduced the impact of Dynasty's wider systems. Online Dynasty commissioners choose the setting for the whole league.
