Official Cross-Play Scope
College Football 27 supports cross-play across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in selected online modes. The important launch-week correction is that cross-play does not mean every economy or save system is shared. Treat cross-play as a matchmaking and invite feature first, then check each mode for its own limits.
Supported Cross-Play Modes
- Dynasty, including Online Dynasty leagues with up to 32 users.
- Road to the College Football Playoff.
- College Football Ultimate Team matchmaking.
- Play a Friend options, including Play Now and Mascot Mashup where available.
Online Dynasty Setup Notes
Online Dynasty is the biggest practical use case for cross-play because it lets PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC users share a league. Use EA Connect to search for friends by EA ID or platform identifier, invite them to the Dynasty, and confirm that each user has cross-play enabled before the league advances. If a user cannot be found, check EA account linking, platform privacy settings, and whether cross-play has been disabled.
Platform Opt-Out Settings
Cross-play is enabled by default on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. PS5 and PC players manage cross-play through in-game settings. Xbox players manage cross-network play through Xbox console system settings, so an Xbox user may need to change the console privacy setting before appearing in cross-platform matchmaking or invites.
CUT Auction House Limitation
College Football Ultimate Team supports cross-play matchmaking, but the CUT Auction House is not shared across platforms. Do not assume that player prices, supply, or auction listings are identical between PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. This matters for trading, pack-value decisions, and any market analysis during launch week.
